Spring Fling at the Market Today

It’s our first event day at the market this season, the Spring Fling.  Celebrating the arrival of warmer weather — we hope!  The first 100 Mother’s at the market will receive a free flower in recognition of Mother’s Day, and kids can make something special for their Mom’s at the Market Tent.  Be sure to enter your mom (or mom’s enter yourselves) to win a gift basket full of market goods or buy a gift certificate for Mother’s Day and let your mom shop at the market for herself.  Here are some other gift ideas available at the market today:

Flowering hanging baskets, handmade jewelry, pearls, fudge and baked goods, garden starts, pottery, and more!  See you at the market!

See you at the market!

The Snow is Beginning to Melt …

and that means that spring is on it’s way and so is the 2011 season of the Rexburg Farmers Market.  We are excited to begin the 3rd season of the market this year on April 29 from 4-8:00 p.m.  Applications will be available for download on this site by Wednesday, March 9, 2011.  Keep checking back for more updates and market announcements.

Harvest Festival

This Friday is our last market of the season.  It’s been a great year and we’re celebrating with a Harvest Festival! As a thank you to our great community and the support you’ve shown the Farmers Market there will be free cookies and apple cider for the first 100 customers.  Kids can decorate a pumpkin to take home and join in the market scavenger hunt.  Adults can try for an El Elote Loco T-shirt in our corn on the cob eating contest!  And we need your help in choosing the best jack-o-lantern in our vendor pumpkin carving contest.  We’ll have live music so bring the family and come join the festivities!

Fresh at the Market Today

It’s pumpkin time at the Farmers Market.  Come and pick your perfect pumpkin for Halloween or pumpkin pies, or pick up some of those cute little baby pumpkins for decorating.  Other great fall produce at the market includes winter squash, some yummy varieties of apples including Honeycrisp and Gala and more, peaches, peppers, potatoes, onions, tomatoes, and those great local strawberries are still going strong.

Grab your umbrella and come and visit us at the market tonight!

Closing Time – Revisited

We’re staying open until 8:00 this Friday and the next.  Last week we tried closing at 7:00 but it was just too early and we were having too much fun listening to some great live music.  We’ll bring out the lights and keep things going until our regular 8:00 closing time.  See you Friday!
