Fresh at the Market

This weeks fresh produce includes:  Pumpkins — of all shapes and sizes!  Winter squash, sweet corn, onions, peppers, carrots, tomatoes, honeydew melon, beets, potatoes, summer squash, strawberries, raspberries, cucumbers, apples, and of course potatoes.

The market also features raw milk, free range eggs, and naturally produced chicken, turkey, and pork, and making a comeback this week is LOCAL HONEY!

We’ll see you at the market!

Back to School Night at the Market

We’re celebrating with FREE slices of watermelon for everyone and fun things for the kids to do too!  The produce vendors are loaded with good things to eat, and there are lots of other goodies at the market too.  Roasted Mexican Corn, Gourmet fudge, Breads and Muffins, Kettle Corn, Raw Milk, Eggs, and we’ve just welcomed a new vendor selling meats — chicken, pork, and lamb.  Bring your shopping list to the market tonight!

Cherry Berry Festival

this Friday, July 6, 2012

It’s the season for cherries, strawberries, and blueberries at the market and what better way to celebrate sweet berry goodness than with a good old fashioned Pie Baking Contest!  Click here download the rules for the contest and show up at the market with a pie or two!

If you’re better at eating pies than baking them, you should enter our pie eating contest!  Or help us judge which pies will take home the prize!  We’ll have some free activities for the kids and a few market giveaways too.  And don’t forget to pick up some of those delicious local and regional berries and cherries while you’re there.

It’s Kids Day at the Market!

Bring the whole family down to the market for an evening of fun!  The fun begins at 4:00 with free garden crafts and seed planting for the kids, and the Rexburg Fire Dept. will be there with a fire engine too!  Our annual ladybug release will happen at 6:00 — over 10,000 ladybugs! And Mexican Folk Dance Group “Tradiciones” will perform at 7:00.  Don’t forget your grocery list too — New to the market this week is Deep Roots Farm with their fresh, local raw milk.  And fresh at the market this week we’ve got local strawberries, Washington cherries, sugar snap peas, spinach, lettuce and more.

New Location

The 4th season of the Rexburg Farmers Market begins this Friday!  Our new location is the parking lot right across from City Hall on 1st East.  Vendors are busy making preparations for Friday and we can’t wait to see you all again this year!
