Thunderstorms forecast for the first Friday afternoon in May can only mean one thing . . . it’s opening day at the Rexburg Farmers Market! Rain or shine, our dedicated vendors will be there bringing you their amazing goods! We’re happy to begin our 7th season and grateful to our wonderful customers for their support. We’ll be giving away free flowers for Moms while supplies last so come and say hi from 4-8 on South College Ave. in Rexburg
There is a bill going through our legislature regarding Cottage food – like foods that can be made from your kitchen and sold at the farmer’s market (as I understand it).
We are urging people to get involved in the discussion of this bill. There will be several meetings held around the state about the bill.
See the link for the meetings that will be held closest to you and we hope you can attend at least one to hear the issues first hard for this bill.
We are having our Annual Spring Vendor’s Meeting this evening, March 18 at 7:00. It will be held at the Rexburg Tabernacle. Any and all vendors who are planning on or who are interested in vending at the Rexburg Farmer’s Market this year are welcome and encouraged to attend.
See you there!
This warm weather and sunshine (or at least sunshine) has us looking forward to the 2015 market season, set to begin on Friday, May 8. If you are a returning vendor or interested in becoming a vendor please click the Applications tab at the top of this page and download the appropriate application. If you get your application in by March 18, you’re market membership will only be $50 for the season. After March 18, the membership fee will go up to $75.
Our annual Spring Vendor Meeting will be held Wednesday, March 18, at 7:00 at the Tabernacle. This is a mandatory meeting for all vendors, and anyone interested in becoming a vendor is welcome to attend as well. If you know anyone who would make a great vendor at the market, send them our way!!
We have secured a new location for the 2014 season. We will be IN THE STREET on College Ave – you can’t miss us once you know where to look.
We are open and ready Friday nights 4-8 pm. We have LOTS of food items – dinner and goodies – great for an open air date night. We have lots of other fun things to sample and explore, and of course, we have our produce vendors selling fresh produce and bedding plants to help you get your garden growing with the best starts around.
Come see what is new this year at the market!
We are getting plans underway and wanted to let potential vendors know what is up:
Our market year will go from May 9 to October 17 (both Fridays). Markets will be held Fridays from 4-8 pm again.
We have begun accepting applications, and will do so until March 13. We will also have our first general market vendor meeting to elect Board Members on Thursday Mar 13 at 6:00 pm- 7:30 pm. You can bring your application and fees to the meeting – just let us know on facebook if you are interested and what you might be selling. Let us know if you are also interested in being on the Market Board of Directors. We have two seats to fill this year.
Any applications received after March 13 will pay a higher market application fee.
We are looking for people to do more fresh cheeses (even fresh mozzarella), goat cheese, breads, flowers, pastries, muffins, and even produce. Anyone want to have a salad booth with a variety of fresh greens?
Let us know if you have questions.
Fresh produce available this week: apples, peaches, apricots, blueberries, sweet corn (yum!!) potatoes, tomatoes, peppers, cucumbers: pickling & slicing for eating, green & yellow beans, carrots, summer squash, zucchini, beets, watermelon, cantaloupe and more!
Melons at the market come from Hagerman, Idaho. Have you had the chance to try a melon from Hagerman? This is one of Idaho’s best kept secrets! Sweet and juicy, if you haven’t tried one, stop by the market and ask for watermelon or cantaloupe. Look for the Hagerman signs at participating vendors.
Make it a date night. Pick up your fresh fruits and veggies for the week, get a snack or refreshing drink or even have supper. There are even crafts and gifts to look over. See you at the market!

Hi. We need more vendors for the year. People are moving and having babies… who do you know that we could include in the market for the remainder of the season? Please tell your friends, family, whoever! We need more vendors, please?
Also, will you please post on your Facebook wall this week that you will be attending the farmer’s market on Friday? Take time on Thursday or Friday to invite your friends, tell them what is fresh and what to come shop for. Love craft fairs? There are very talented craft and jewelry vendors at the market. Terrific one-of-a-kind gifts are an easy and fun find. Love to eat? Fabulous and yummy food, snacks and drinks can be found at the Rexburg Farmer’s Market. Come support our community! We need to ALL help advertise and help get people to the market. This will benefit all of us.

This Friday, June 28, the Rexburg Farmer’s Market will host its first health fair. Not only do we have great food coming, but we have invited some quality health professionals to join us amongst the vendor booths to talk about good health practices.
Come and join us at the market. We have been told that the dentist representative: Toenjoes, Brizzee and Orme, DDS from St. Anthony will be holding some fun drawings, including a chance to win a free Sonicare Toothbrush, a kids Sonicare, or maybe even a full mouth tooth whitening!
We will also see Dr. Booth from Teton Spinal Rehab (formally known as Back to Health Chiropractic) and the Massage Therapy school (with massage chairs). We are still working on a few last minute surprises, and hope you will spread the news and come join us for a fun and educational night.
Besides, the local produce is starting to come on. We should have local cherries, blueberries, tomatoes, potatoes, summer squash, carrots, peas, spinach, and lots more.
See you there!
