Idaho Preferred

You may have noticed those little blue Idaho Preferred stickers at the grocery store on produce and other products such as milk, honey, and my favorite salad dressing. That little blue logo means that you’re buying products made or grown right here in Idaho.
Here’s an explanation of the Idaho Preferred program from their website:
Idaho Preferred® is a program to identify and promote food and agricultural products grown, raised, or processed in the Gem State. Administered by the Idaho State Department of Agriculture, the program showcases the quality, diversity, and availability of Idaho food and agricultural products . . .

The Rexburg Farmers Market is proud to be an Idaho Preferred Market, which means that the large majority of produce sold at our market is grown in Idaho. Buying Idaho Preferred helps the state and local economy, and when it comes to produce it means you’re getting the freshest fruits and vegetables possible because they didn’t have to travel long distances to get to you. For a list of Idaho Preferred products and Farmers Markets visit the Idaho Preferred website, and for a taste of great Idaho produce visit the Rexburg Farmers Market!
